Critical Thinking and the Project
Creating this website was not easy. There are so many different aspects and perspectives that can be investigated when it comes to renewable energy in such a powerful country like China. After dividing our tasks our group shared a google drive with links to websites and academic articles that talked about our topic of interest. This was a way we found to make sure all of us had reliable sources.

After reading more about the advantages and challenges of switching from non-renewable to renewable energy sources, it is clear that this transition won’t happen in a blink of an eye. Little steps have to be taken in order to substitute something so convenient, cheap and with a high energy concentration such as coal or oil.

The biggest challenge regarding renewables is the fact that one only source of energy will not be the best choice for each country or even each region. In some places, hydropower might be the best option, while in others it might be solar or wind. Our society is used to having one primary source of energy, a trend that must change in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improvements in air quality.
